Nadine
  Nadine McKenzie F.B.A.T.D/A.I.S.T.D
Nadine started dancing at the tender age of 2 and a half with her mum Irene Mckechnie.
Her first major achievement, was when she won the babies Championship at Cowal when she was only 6 years old!

Nadine then went on to win all major Highland dancing championship titles, including the Scottish, British, The Champion of Champions Oscar and the very much sought after Juvenile World Highland dancing Championship title at Cowal Highland gathering.

Not forgetting the Scottish Senior tap Championship and Scottish Senior Ballet Championship titles.

Nadine performed with the Falkirk Children’s Theatre for 5 years, playing principle parts in all productions, including their regular Christmas spot on Scottish Television.

At the age of 16, Nadine went on to do a 3 years professional training coarse at the Theatre School of Dance and Drama.
This led to touring the world on board cruise ships, and performing in many Theatres, as Dance Captain, Lead Singer, Principle and Choreographer in major productions and working with Britain’s biggest stars.

As a professional singer Nadine released three solo singles on academy St records under the name of “queen Nadine” which were successful both in Britain and in Europe in the clubscene.

Nadine also works as a session singer and has lended her vocal talents to many successful projects working with top writers and producers.

Nadine is constantly in demand as a choreographer and works with full time students training them for the professional stage.

Her joy for teaching has resulted in a successful partnership with her mother, and prides herself on producing champions and stars of tomorrow by pushing them to their full potential.

Irene McKechnie
  IRENE MCKECHNIE - LIFE MEMBER.B.A.T.D/ M.S.D.T.A
Irene is proud to say that all her knowledge was gained from her teacher – MR WLLIAM MCNIVEN CUTHBERTSON.
Irene started seriously at the age of 12 years.

She was runner up in the juvenile world highland dancing championship at the age of 13, and won the title at the age of 14. She then went on to be the first person to win juvenile, senior and adult World Championship titles.

Irene has danced professionally as a soloist throughout the world, with the white heather club and jimmy shand shows, both on stage and television.

Her first love is teaching.

Irene has produced champions in all age categories, winning every championship title possible within the UK. Including the Scottish, British, Commonwealth and Two World Champions. It is to her credit that many of her champions have been taught by herself from scratch. This includes both world champions.

Irene feels that her biggest achievement is bringing out the best in every child, so that they can dance to their full potential. This is not always about winning championships, but giving someone the joy of dance!
